Hey all,

I'd like to remove my brake drums, media blast and paint them. I've never done this before, what's involved in removing and replacing them? What do I have to worry about when putting them back on? Sorry for such a newb question.

If you have drums on the front, the drum comes off after removing the bearings. Here's a link to an illustration.

On either front or rear you will need to get to the star adjusting wheel so that you can back off the shoes. There is an access hole in the backing plate right behind the star wheel.
