Thanks. I had to have pre op tests done yesterday and they freaked me out a bit walking me through some of the issues and the pain pump I have to wear.
sorry to hear you are going to have shoulder surgery. had it done a little vover a year ago, hurts like h%^*. the bad part is trying to do everything with one hand like going to the bathroom. good luck and do what the doctor says they sometimes do know best.
The bathroom has been my biggest fear. I asked my wife if it would be ok to run a hose in... Bet a lot of you picture something you did not want to vision.
you sure were up early, Today at 04:58 AM, fixing the last things to fgf site! best of luck and quick recovery! Let us know when your`e back by the `puter!
I hope your drainage tube does NOT plug up... I had shoulder surgery 10 years ago, and it is still the worst pain I ever felt. When my drainage tube plugged up at 11:00pm, all the interns could do was to let me suffer until the morning when the sergeon came in. He had to open me up again and unblock the tube. You could bounce a quarter off my peck 3 feet high.
all went well. arm knumb and in sling so no pain yet. Surgery was early so home early as elected pain pump over being admitted over night not fun typing one handed
Sorry i didnt write sooner. Im glad to hear everything went well and your home. Get well soon. If you need anything dont be afraid to ask. Get some rest.
It's amazing how the health care philosophy has changed over the years; at one time, they kept you in the hospital for days and days as a precaution. Today, it sometimes seems like they can't wait for you to leave! I prefer the latter though; being at home is a good thing.
