I have recently rebuilt my 326, just noticed that the new oil pump does not meet with the distributer drive shaft, has anybody experieced this problem and where can I go to get a new shaft or a pump that works with the old shaft? I have checked with Carquest and Advance, Carquest has one on order but I am not sure if it will be right, if not I need suggestions.
Thanks,
Lance

You should be able to get the oil pump shaft most anyplace (Napa, Ames etc..) Or maybe Quenton has made some that you can drom in from the top with out the tabs... you might check with him on that?
But it should be straight forward? And for the most part they should all be the same for 326 on up?
Good luck - Brett - 67 Drop Top 455!

I am in the process of having mine heat-treated then shot-peened. (Thay are made from 4340 steel) They will be bullet proof, and - as Brett says - they drop in from the top. They will be available soon. Stay tuned!
