I received the engine unit number, code, and the casting number from a seller today. An online search shows that the block is from something between 1974-1977. I can not find any information online for the unit number he gave me. I would appreciate it if someone could tell me where the engine is from.

When the seller of this 1967 Firebird coupe purchased the car, he "was told" that the engine and transmission was original to the car. I explained to him that I would need some confirmation and well....as we know now, it's not.

The worst part of the story isn't that I won't be buying the car (for more than one reason)....It's that the seller purchased the car from a "Friend".
