Are those disc brake deals for $350 or so on ebay worth the money? I am going to have to get some wheels on this car pretty soon so I can move it out, and I do not want to do this job twice if I can help it. Any feedback on that?
IMO if you do any driving on the highway or on any hills, you should change up to the discs. There're some very good reasons why front discs have been standard on all cars for several decades.
He has other kits too where you can buy your own calipers and rotors at the local parts store to save on shipping. Some kits have the booster, master cylinder and proportioning valve included.
I was wondering about those Scarebird deals too, but haven't gotten any feedback on them, so...
What about the kits with the 2" drop? I was thinking that would require a lot of adjustments to the alignment and would cause some flutter in the front. Is that the case?
If I don't use the drop spindles, what would be the best spring height be, cause I'd need to get some of those too.
I just ordered 11" slotted disc kit with booster/master cyl. Supposed to come assembled for easy install...$788 delivered.....I'll let ya know it it goes.......
If you want to adjust your ride height go with coilover shocks. That way you can drop the front without having to change spindles. IMO to, I'd stay away from drop spindles. They change steering geometry to much.
