Here is a picture of the lower baffle on my 69, anyone know what that bracket thingy near the bottom is? the right end of it looks like something snaps in there.
Agreed. The Flux Capacitor has gone through a few mods and upgrades over the years, but for the most part our FGFs used those FCs from Season One. The numbers were much more reliable.
If you try later Seasons, or even Second Generation Star Trek models you could indeed blow the entire project into oblivion. That of course... would not be logical.

It's a bracket for a 'whistler'. A 'whistler' is a device made to make a high pitched whistling noise that warns deer and other animals that you are coming.
Since this thing is outside the car, not permanent and does not appear to be Factory installed My guess its where the former owner hid his spare key -happy motorin -Mik
I think maybe Jim has it, here is a picture of an electronic deer whistle. The bracket looks similar though not quite the same. I assume my mystery bracket could be quite old.
