Ok, finnaly got engine and trans out today. I now belive this is not original trans for my car as no #'s I found match vin # of car. It is a muncie. Here are the #'s I found, any help in identifying would be appriciated.
# cast on main housing 3925660 US patten 3088336 #'s stamped near tail housing CJ9 POM08B A80320 Tail shaft cast # 3857584

If I remeber right, the vin is on the drivers side on the edge where you bolt the trans to the housing. the cj9 says 3 week nov 69 I m not too sure on the vin but that area is where I would look. good luck.

The VIN will be two numbers, a letter and then six numbers. That would be the ending of your VIN. It is usually near your 'POM08B' but smaller.
