Ok here's the deal,I did a bonehead thing today.I took apart my HEI distributor from my 69 bird and now ive got a little problem.First thing is im using parts from a chevy HEI I know that the weights and shaft wont work in the bird so im just using the elictical parts which all seem to be the same.The parts im using is the pick-up coil,module and capacitorand the cap and rotor.Are these ok to use they all seem to be exact matches.My biggest problem is I took off the distributor gear from the bottom not paying attention which way it goes back on.Should the dimple in the gear line up with the direction the rotor points?
