I installed a 1978 HEI distributor into my firebird,I removed all the electrical inards from a chevy HEI distributor.Everything is hooked up,but I'm getting no spark to the Plugs.Anyone know the problem here?It is getting juice to the cap but not distributing it.

Don't Chevy distributors turn the wrong way? Could that have anything to do with it?

Well the movable parts do turn the opposite way but im not using those im only using the electronic parts.And the electronic parts as far as I know are the same.Oh im also using the vacuum advance from it.

Have you checked to make sure the engine ground strap is still attached and making a good connection?
