I had made a very costly mistake about a 2 years ago, i had cut my old radiator hoses off and disposed of them like a ding dong and needles to say i can not find a replacement for the upper, can someone please send me a some pics of what this hose is suppose to look like? The gooseneck points to the passenger and the hose connects to the radiator on the driver side, cant seem to find the hose for the life of me, the only hose i found that works well has to attach to the thermostat housing thru the top, cant find a goose which is straight up except for that **** chevy, please please please help summer is almost here.
That is exactly the neck i need thanks for the pic. Of course i cannot find it anywhere, I have a aftermarket Edlebrock intake which should not matter the motor is a 1968 400, i had checked everywhere for this neck , the only neck i can find is pointing to passenger side.
A tri-power neck or an OHC-6 neck will point to the passenger side if they are stuck onto a 4-BBl manifold. Bolt spacing is the same in all cases. I can't say for sure, but older Pontiac A-Body cars may have used a radiator with the upper hose on the passenger side, in which case those necks would also point the wrong way.
Sounds like you might just have the wrong water neck. The 4-Bbl. neck should be an easy junk-yard item, or you can pick up a chrome one from Summit, Jegs or PAW.
