I have had Hagerty for four years. Excellent customer service. Exceptional rates for additional classic cars. Have not yet had reason to file a claim, but friends who recommended Hagerty to me have been very satisfied with claims.
You and the insurance company "agree" on a value when you sign the policy. They will not pay more than the agreed value in the event of a total loss, so it is up to you to update your value if you feel your car's replacement cost is increasing.

I've always been happy with Hagerty. They, as well as Grundy are CAR people. My agent changed companies, and set me up with another company this year, but I bet I end up spending the extra 13 clams and go with Hagerty next renewal. I also insure for 20K and it costed $193.00 for the year. Extra cars are not at all expensive to add on, but they wont insure my "Nil's Sefeldt" Volvo. Just too much performance for them to reckon with I assume.
ahhh, You got that rare expensive 240, guess they cant insure it....betcha its too new! maybe my ins agent could insure that for you,,, they used to insure our whole dealership!
I've had hagerty for @ 5 yrs. now and I've made 2 claims that were both my fault and they paid 100%. No accidents I just dropped a couple things on the bird.
But they won't cover any damage from you working on it.
I am very happy with them. I think it's around 185.00 a year for full coverage and flat bed towing year round.
