hi everyone, i have a 68 bird with standard interior. will deluxe door panels bolt up to the existing doors with no problems? also, will i have problems changing the standard door handles to deluxe handles? please let me know if i have to make modifications. thanks!!
I'm pretty sure that the door handles, and all the mechanisms used in the standard and deluxe interior are completely differnt, so all that would need to be changed. Thats all you should have to do tho, i'm pretty sure there shouldnt be any modifications to the door required...that would've cost to much for pontiac to do

69Firebird400 is right, all the mounting locatrions for both style interiors is there, but the door handles and the rods are in different locations, and you'll need to track that stuff down in addition.
Otherwise, most of the rest of the swap is easy! Unless you get into options like power seat, power windows, fold down rear seat etc.. But then, we all would like to upgrade to that stuff if possible!
