OK, Just picked up a TH350 Trans. from a 81 firebird 301... will it fit into my 68 firebird with the 350 engine ok? The guy that sold it to me said it would go in just fine, if not he might have something different.. thanks...

it will bolt up to your engine and crossmember fine.81 cant remember if it was a year that you could get converter lock up .
Beardog,is there a 4 pin electrical connector on the side of the trans.if there isnt good trans will work on your car no problem.if it does it will probably still work no prob,but will need to do some extra work if you want to utilize converter lockup.

Yes it does have 4 pin connector, I'm a little dum when it comes to what converter lock up will do for me.. Should I try to find one that does'nt have that 4 pin? or can I make this work just fine for me? Thanks Tracy

OK, but your a little ways away... wa. state.. The guy I got this tranny from said he had another, he would just have to pull it out.. I guess my question would be can I make this one work for me??

I am pretty sure that the trans will work fine.just dont hook up to that connector unless you want converter lockup which on those trans wasnt as efficient as they are today.are you going to rebuild it or have it rebuilt? are just going to run it as is?
