Well i think i just bought a new car. A friend called the other night about a 65 GTO with matching 389 tri-power. It currently has a 400 in it. Been sitting in a barn for 14 years now all covered up. Looks like im making a road trip this weekend to go and look at it. Its green with black int. 4 speed. Buckets, Going to check out the rust factor on it. $5K. The wife is going to kill me....lol

Im getting....you already have a chevelle in the barn...a firebird in the garage...what do you need with a GTO? My responce......Havent owned on of those yet. Like saying crap in church....

Sounds like a potentially great find. I would love to have one of those.
As far as the wife goes, unfortunately, if she has to ask, she probably will never understand. Best of luck to you however this turns out.

Nothing wrong with a clone. That just means you can do what you want to it and not rape a real GTO. I had a clone '66 GTO convertible that I wish didn't find its way to the bone yard.

Sorry BHmech, I didn't scroll down far enough. Is the badge in good shape? For some reason these cammer badges are prone to pitting of the 4.1 characters making them unreadable. Got a pic?

OK Jim.....now that was funny. Hard to tell what im going to do with it yet. Clean it up and sell for a higher price???drive the snot out of it?????trade it for Chevelle stuff????Or pass it on to someone else. Not sure...i will hopefully find out on Sat or Sunday.....
