I set the intake on the engine & the bolt holes line up fine. My problem is that in the middle of the heads the intake doesn'y cover all of the hole in the head. The original intake is the same way, the intake in the pics is from a T/A like Jim's (FBody)
That is the problem with the marriage between old style intakes and newer style heads. It has nothing to do with machiene work and everything to do with different size ports. You have to block it or fill it.
Vikki turned me on to Nash's old thread about it. Problem solved, tomorrow anyway. Thanks, Merv & Vikki! Can't forget to thank you either, Nash. I have to catch up to you so we're having the same problems at the same time. LOL
You betcha, Stephen! Gonna be awesome, getting so close I can taste it. Fuel & water pumps, oil filter deal, & intake/carb. Gotta get the holes plugged first though.
I was there Saturday and James was still tearing it down. Not even a week later and he's finishing up reassembly. Impressive! Can't wait to hear it run!

You'll hear my WOOOHOOO's all the way over in Virginia & Michigan when I fire her up!!! It'll be this weekend if the JB Weld dries good enough & if I can rig up a wiring system to give her juice. That may prove to be the hardest part. I'm very grateful to all of you who helped me along & put up with a million questions & those of you who hooked me up with the parts to make this possible. As they say, one man's trash is another man's treasure. Next comes putting the car together. I'm not psychic, but I see more questions on the way. The best part is knowing one day I can pass all this info along.
