Waiting on the JB Weld to be for sure set up. Nash has waited over a week, so I'll follow his lead. I have to get the motor mount conversion kit to put the 77 engine in my 68 Bird. Tried to make some, but tools & material limitations & hours of pissn around w/ it today makes the ones from Ames well worth the $30! By the time they get here I should be ready to see if I did this right. First time for tearing one down & putting it back together by myself.

Sounds like fun! I was wondering about which heads you used and what your estimated compression will be. I can't help but want to know a little more about the beast!

Here’s the cam: http://www.cranecams.com/?show=brow...mp;action=partSpec&partNumber=283941

I put #46 heads on it, Screw in studs, about 9-9.2:1 compression ratio. The intake is the same casting # as the ebay mess a while back ago, the correct one for your T/A, Jim. There's a Quadrajet carb on it for firing purposes, possibly to be changed to a 750 duel inlet Holley & a high performance Summit racing fuel pump. It's electronic ignition, but I think I'll still run an external regulated alternator. Power steering is the next accessory to be added soon.

Sounds good! I've got the double pumper Holley on my TA too. It's fast, fast. Nothing dumps gas like a Holley.

Here are some pics of it. I have chrome valve covers & more parts to be added later. Had to resort back to the POS cam, best I could do.

I believe you need to plug up those EGR holes under the carb...

PO of mine welded a plate over them.

Yep, I'm working on a plate that will look good when finished. Making something out of an old bumper bracket. Recycling Bird parts. LOL I didn't forget, but good eye & thank you, Vikki!

Yep, good eye. You can make a little plate with two screws. They sell them but might as well make one.
Looks good James. It looks like it will run and the fun is yet to come!

I would spin that distributor around and put the advance on the drivers side.

Just need a few more parts, a few mods, & the right color paint!
