I am trying to identify an engine block can someone make anything out of these #s 660479yc D 14 GM 14 Z8X174658 These were all found on the engine block.
66047 is the engine unit number YC is the block code (big car motor) Catilina, Bonneville.. D 1 4 GM are foundry markings, Z8X174658 is the Car's VIN number.
There is a date code by distributor hole and a 7 or 6 digit block casting number on the right passenger rear bank of the motor. If you get that, one can pin down year and displacement.
