wondering what color the grills in my 67 should be they look like maybe gray but some pictures of other cars look back my is a standard 326 coupe with the custom trim option if that makes any differance

According to the FAQ's on this site, '67's were black centers with argent silver outer sections.
The list '68 colors look strange to me with a silver center. I know I have seen that but most '68's I've seen are black.
I bought 2 NOS grills in 1998 and both had black center's with argent silver center main ribs. One was charcoal on the outer edges, the other argent silver. I repainted them both charcoal because I thought it looked better.
The only trim option that affected the grills is if you got a 400. Then they bolted a chrome "hockey stick" over the center rib.
