Getting ready to paint my Valve covers and I was using Martin Seyour Pontiac Blue paint. I went to the auto store to get paint and they have discontinued the color. Any of you guys know of a correct substitute brand. Thanks Gary

Use Hirsch Paints.

It's a little expensive, but the perfect color, and has higher temperature tolerance than any other paints.

Quenton, the covers are off. I have chrome on them now. Going to put the correct ones back on before the nationals in Norwalk just wanted to have them painted and ready to stick back on. I broke down and ordered the hirsch paint anyways. What's another 19 bucks Gary

So, were the valve covers also painted blue originally on my '69? If so, I'll go ahead and paint them while I'm doing the heads and intake.

On your '69 400 they were probably chrome.

I thought the valve covers were only chrome on the 400's and Trans Ams? and for the reast they were painted the same, or close to, color of the engine
