I have never seen new one's like that, are they new or used? If used I would say at least one is shot. And if new I would have a serious talk with who ever you bought they from.
They are very used. The one from the driver side is about 1-1 1/2" shorter than the pass side which is what I would expect after 34 years. The strange thing is that it seemed like it leaned to the pass side with no engine/tranny.
i have installed alot of springs on all different cars, and so far have never seen one specified driver or passenger side. they always come in a matched, interchangeable set. (thats not to say they always restore the ride height to proper specs, but evenly) there are heavy duty springs you can buy (code cc instead of code cs) whose uninstalled height is shorter than the regular spring. they have a different spring rate which allows them to have the same installed height, but these are normally for rear coils. i couldnt begin to tell you why yours sits lower on the taller coil side unless someone mismatched these springs, or you have a bushing or other problem. i've been told recently that Eaton Spring out of detroit can make springs to your spec. i always dealt with moog, or comanies who use the same part #s. but my car sits too high, so i shouldn't even be posting.
