I have a 1968 350 coupe, and am wanting to convert to disc brakes. Can anyone advise on a good place to buy full conversion kit. Also any donor cars that I could use the brake system off of to complete the conversion. Always appreciate the help
I purchased the SSBC kit a number of years ago. Although it soeas stop the car better, I don't like the system all that much. You might review the archives here as this topic has been discussed a lot in the past. Good Luck!
I got a complete power master and front disc conversion from In-Line Tube. The install was very easy. I havent been able to evaluate the performance yet as the car is still in process. The one knock I have is the brackets rubbed the inside of the 14" rally wheels. I am guessing this is common since the salesman advised I shim out the wheel 1/4" to "fix" the problem.
Fat Rodder on eBay has some nice kits. There are many good donor GM cars too if you choose to go that route. Nova's, Chevelles, Skylarks, Camaros(obviously),Lemans, many others. Most all midsize 68-72 but Camaros only to 67-69, Novas to 74.
