Rommel its a Demon. 850 speed demon Ive had nothing but good luck with it. Got it used. The guy I got it from loved it at the track but hated it on the street. Couldn't get it to idel. Terry do you have one of those motors hiding out back??
The idle was what I was curious about. Have you had it on the street? Mine will mostly be street, but will have some strip use. I'm leaning towards an Edelbrock 800 AVS for the street, and my Edelbrock 850 QJet for the strip.
Very nice motor...forgot to say that in my last thread.
Cool, um I mean HOT! So far several builders are trying to talk me into loosing the dual quads and going to the Demon of BG carb on my 428 build up. Got to admit, it looks [censored] impressive but I'd miss my quads when I pop the hood.
You don't have that stack sitting under a stock ht hood do you?
Wanting a Custom fit in an off the rack world.
I don't have time for a job, I just need the money.
What cam? I have a Crower RAIV w/1.72 H.S. rkrs. Thinking of going to a 245* cam. The 4 corner idle screws are nice, arnt they. How much you gon'a hit it with? Concerned about going over 175 with the rpm intake(even distribution). Lowered center divider? How much, bout an 1"? Havent touched mine...yet.
Comp Cams 240/246 110 lobe sep. 507/510 lift. With 1.65 roller tips.4 corner idel is a big help I think. Just hitting it with a 100 shot. That way I dont have to worry about my street tune. Ask away.
Rommel, I tried the 750 speed demon. It idled but, not as well as the E-brock 750. I also lost bottom end, but seemed to gain some at higher rpm. I didn't experiment with the jets, yet. Also, had a bit of trouble with the throttle linkage and cable. The pedal is VERY high with the Demon carb. I put the E-brock back on.

nice...my friend has a 750demon. says there underated its more like a 825cfm. nice carb but needs tuning. edelbrocks are pretty much set up. plus way smother.
ditch the 463stickers and put some 400's on. and when u beat them tell them its stock inside except you indexed the plugs, and balanced the sparkplug wires.

240/246...close to what i was look'n at. Thanks.
I have a msd digital 6-plus ignition module. Has 2 seperate adjustable timing controls. 1 for N.A., and another to retard timing when the n2o solenoid is activated.
I know this looks hooky. No Poop. I add the upper arm and the gusset for strenth. After a few years of SMASHING the pedal to the floor. It might have bent back a little. But know I have WOT.Bend in vice at arrow.
I took a different approach.(though, I like yours better). I trimmed away part of the cable housing that extends through the firewall. This gave the cable another inch or so of distance. I also added an extension to the throttle bracket on the carb so that the cable attched well forward of the original mounting spot. This took up the extra distance I gained in the cable. This gave me just enough motion to fully open the carb. BUT, my accelerator pedal is as high as my brake pedal!!!
