I have been offered a 1966 GTO hardtop, 389 WT block, 4-speed, two-tone blue turquiose/white top straight up for my 1969 convertible. It is an older restoration with 1 repaint. Very nice interior and well optioned with PHS docs to boot. He told me he has it insured thru Hagerty for 28K, I have mine there for $30K. I would say that my bird is nicer but just because it a fresh restoration. Value wise what do you think? I love the FGF but have always wanted another GTO.
I've had 66 and 67 GTO's. They always felt to big for me. Rather have my Birds. And your top goes down. When the top goes down the price goes up.
If it's a swap you think you'd really like, I'd swap for an afternoon, maybe go on a joint cruise in swapped cars, drive your home afterward to think about it. Then you can decide straight up.
Wanting a Custom fit in an off the rack world.
I don't have time for a job, I just need the money.
