Da-Dut, Da-Dut, Da-Dut, Daa-Doooo...

Brought photo shop cd in tonight for some covert work wink

Forgot the work stations are slaves to the main tower in the office frown

No cd burner, and no foppy's with me.
Is there a way to down load straight from camara to here?

My camera came with a USB interface cable. When plugged in between the computer and the camera, it's memory with the photos looks like another drive (drive G). Most computers have a few USB ports on the back.

As above plug the camera to the PC then turn the camera on. Most of us use Photobucket < http://photobucket.com/ > for an image host. When you click on the browse buttons a pop up menu will come up with a list of locations to upload the images from. Select the camera (removable or external drive), then select the folder and files.

My 2 year old Dell came with a photo quality "all-in-one" printer. The printer has 3 slots on the front for various digital camera memory cards. I just plug in and the computer automatically askes which photos I want to download.

Home puter is wdws ME.
Tried installing wdw's 2000, or whatever it is, no dial out.
When i uninstalled, lost file uploading capability.

Next weekend, tried installing again. Ran completely different.
Still no dial out, and lost another program.

Thinking of putting everthing on disc's, and wiping puter.
Then install 2000.

Or call the geek squad.

Easy fix. Buy a newer computer. Both Windows ME and Windows 2000 are unsupported, unprotected agains viruses and trojans with no security updates available, missing a lot of modern features, and are basically not worth screwing around with. As cheap as PCs are now, you can get a basic new computer that will run circles around your old one and has both the new operating system AND all the toys for just a couple hundred dollars. Save the Geek Squad call, you can replace your PC for less than they will charge you to reformat/reinstall.

I know, i know...get a new one.
My prioriety are cars right now. Every extra $ goes into them.
Got to repair and sell 2. And get the FB & GTO finished.
Tired of not having one to drive 2yrs now.

Mayby not 2000. Bought it last Dec.
Has a firewall, and wdw's sppt, etc.
Worst part, it runs a program 1st to make sure it's do-able.
Only 2 of the kids programs had to be removed.

If you bought it last December it's not 2000. If there is nothing on the PC you need to keep (pictures, etc.) stick the restore CD in the drive, turn on the PC, hit the key when it says "Do you want to boot to CD?" and make it like new.

If you don't have restore CDs, just a Windows CD, pretty much the same except you'll have to reinstall drivers and programs afterward.

Let's see...money spent by throwing it to Geek Squad for nothing...or money spend on new hardware. Hmm, tough choice. Try it yourself first. If you can't get it, let the kids try. They're great with computers. And if it's already broke, they can't do anything much wrong.

Mine are only good at getting past my parental blocks, myspace, and downloading music.

LOL, they'll run circles around you on the keyboard. My son got his first PC when he was 2, it was so old it only had floppy drives, but he learned...he's going to Rensselaer Polytechnic or Digipen in fall 2008 to major in computer science/video game design...I'm glad I let him play on PCs. He has an internship at Lawrence Technical Institute in Video Game Design this summer.

Doesn't 'see' the camera. You may have to install the camera's driver on that PC, if it will let you. The computers administrative properties may not let you install outside software without authorization.

Best to get your PC up and running again.
