$700? Wow. As much as I would love to have mine redone, I can't imagine spending that much on a steering wheel. I'm not a cheapo by no means but that just seems like a lot of cash for something so simple. LOL Maybe it's just me.
I just had mine done by the above mentioned. It came out absolutely perfect. That also includes a lifetime waranty. With shipping and all it was just less than (hold on) $1,000.00. That includes chrome, color & clear. (The $700 Is for a single color) I didn't want to pay that either but I decided I already spent more that I wanted to keep my car all original and # matching.

Ok we must be talking about different wheels. I have the one for a 68 w/ custom interior. It is black and that's it. So it would be $700 to have it re-moulded? Man that just seems like a lot of money...
It is a lot of money but as I said it is perfect. It costs around $500 to have one patched up. Remember this is all new plastic. There is not even 1 visible bubble in the clear. If you want a super nice wheel just grit you teeth and do it. You won't be sorry.

I like the feel and looks of those cheap leather wrap's over the early stock wheels. Had either a 70 chevelle or impala with a chunk of plastic missing, so i put in a section of rubber hose before wrapping it. Worked great.
