I think the total was between 2500 - 3000 for all of the parts. The console and shifter are from a 68-69 Camaro. Most of the parts are from Ames or Classic Industries. I saved a lot by doing everything myself, but I will NEVER do another headliner or reupholster seats again.
I think am almost up to doing my interior. Just out of curiosity, What did you end up having to buy or rather to shorten the question, what original parts did you have to work with? the reason i ask this is because im going to have to replace just about every single part and my body shop guy thinks it could be done for around 3K. for parts and labor. is this irrational?
I had a full interior but it was either scratched/cracked or covered in tan velour. Your price of $3000 with everything is great! Take it and run. This is parts alone. I had an estimate of $175 to do the headliner and $500 to recover the seats but I ended up doing those on my own. Also, if you have a standard interior the door panels will be about 1/2 or 1/3 of the cost of the deluxe panels.
Here is a breakdown of most of my costs: total about $2750 Gauges: 160 console: 379.95 gauge cluster: 40 shifter: 150 carpet: 110 front door panels: 400 rear door panels 200 dash pad: $300 off ebay package tray:40 dash bezels: 40 headliner: 60 Seat covers: 330 misc seat pieces: 30 steering wheel 100 radio: 260 speakers 150
Just out of pure curiocity, why did you go with the Camaro console and shifter? The Birs stuff is out there for the same money. Again, I am just curious. Everything looks nice!
The horseshoe shifter from the 68-69 Camaro is one of my favorite muscle car shifters. I also wanted to have a place for the gauges without using the covans dash piece. This car is nowhere near original and I am planning on keeping this car for a VERY long time .
