Also another Bird at $5000 bid up from the hundreds by one bidder, car is total junk. Some real problems with bidders it seems. What happens if you win a car but it was bid up by shill bidding? Is Ebay not concerned about that? If you find you were shill bid up can you make a claim for the difference?
Wanting a Custom fit in an off the rack world.
I don't have time for a job, I just need the money.
I think the classic car market is out of control. Many are getting priced out of the market due to this madness. It's good for sellers but sucks for anybody looking to buy. Can't figure it out??? Maybe it's due to all the autions and restoration show on tv. Also, there not making anymore..
looked at it, no bids... but "BIN is $10k... I paid $8k for mine ,running, WITH paint on it ,and a convertible, sure I neede to do work to it , but could drive it...."not original"( cloned) though and certainly not :
If an auction starts at 100 and someone plops 5K on it form the get go it will keep showing that bidders number every time someone else hits it until it surpasses the 5K mark right? This makes it look like the guy bid on it over and over or are you saying you think he put his own bid on it so that others just bids just pumped up the price? Too bad we can't see the bidder names anymore because of all the phony second chance offers. Then you may see a pattern.
sounds like you`re right...if it starts at $100, someone bids $5000...it will show that same high bidder ea time someone else bids, as the bids go up, his bid will just go higher...maybe in $50 or 100 increments... someone set the staring bid here at 4500, so if bidder did not hit reserve..it wont show the real bid until someone else bids higher than this bidder..lets say reserve is 4800 , this bidder is at 4750...so if someone bids 4775, it will then show
right now it states: Bidder 1 US $4,500.00 Jun-26-07 14:19:26 PDT with no other bids, & "reserve not met"
That looks pretty rusty for a "AZ" car? Who drives a car for 50K miles then just parks it for ever? The guy really went out of his way to take pictures didn't he? If he gets 6500 for it there must be a real shortage of old cars.
