This may be a stupid question but after 3 years I'm still learning so please bear with me.

I noticed today that when I pull the throttle linkage rod as far as it will go the flap on the secondary barrels of my carburetor only open half way. Shouldn't they be completely vertical when the throttle is wide open?

67 with a 326 with a Edelbrock 600 CFM Performer.

They should be very close to vertical. You'll need to make linkage adjustments accordingly.

That's what I thought. I guess that may be why it's never had the power I felt it should have. Thanks!

shortening the rod will give it that umph your looking for. just make sure the return spring is long enough to give it back!
