My 69 rear bumper looks fine except the sides are pointing down a bit, not parallel with the syling line on the quarter panel. It looks about 1/2 inch off but very obvious. The bumper itself doesn't seem to be bent or warped. Can this be adjusted and if so, how?
If your car was ever jacked up (by the bumper jack!) they will look like that! Its twisted , they all will look like that if they were ever used and not fixed again...I`d think someone could re-twist them , but I left mine that way...on a cover picture from " Texas monthly" magazine of Dennis Quaid`s 69 mayfair maize convertible ( Yes ,he`s got good taste!), that bumper also points down , so we are in good company! YOU CAN PLACE A JACK ON THE LOW PART OF THE BUBPER AND PUSH IT UP WITH THE BUMPER BOLTS LOOSE.WHEN IT IS AT THE DESIRED POSISTION,TIGHTEN THE BOLTS.THAT IS HOW I GOT MINE A LITTLE STRAIGHTER THAN IT WAS.
