I've looked around a little but I can't figure out if any aftermarket company sells complete kits to change over to a manual transmission...you know pedals, z bar, etc, etc. Does anyone know?

You will need to find a parts car or a used parts dealer with the package.

You can find private sellers if you are willing to spend the time asking.

One more question: Is there any reason why this kit from ebay wouldn't work? I asked the seller and he didn't know.

The cross shaft(Z bar) is different for a Bird. It says 67-68 so I bet the pedals are different(for a 69) too. You can get the pedal assembly from Classic Ind. The Z bar is a tough one to find.

Interesting. This eBay seller says this Z bar came off a Firebird but it fits Camaro. He is wrong. That wouldn't stop me from buying it for a Firebird though. Check it out; http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1968-74-C...sspagenameZWDVW
