The Bird returns from paint soon. I am thinking about replacing some of the emblems instead of repainting (again) with model paint, especially the PONTIAC in the grill and the FIREBIRD on the fenders. Is there any e-coupons or club discounts? Any difference between CI, NPD, YearOne or Ames?
I dont know of any e-cupons or club discounts. I know Classic has some discounts/sales sometimes, but Im not a CI fan. I ordered all of my emblems from NPD and they all fit great and looked awesome.
Terry (69firebirdman) does have good connections with many of our FGF emblems and badges, at very low cost. Check him out first before you spend twice the money on the exact same piece.

for my hood I bought good used off EBay...repainted myself....for the rear spoiler (yes, that Maro spoiler) I bought repop... cant tell the diffference...
I'm shopping for emblems also. From the ads the only difference to look for is if they are low pressure casting which look great, but, are very bendable. The high pressure or die cast ones are more rigid like OE. There very well may be more to it than that and is probably the case but I don't know what to look for. I still havn't bought any. I found the Trim Parts web page but was unaware that other vendors sold Trim Parts pieces.
whatever you do, don't waste your money on the front bumper emblem from classic industries. I am fortunate enough (or unfortunate) to live within driving distance of Classic. I went through no less than 10 of their emblems before finding one that was semi decent. I installed it with the bumper about 4 months ago and noticed today that the paint is already flaking off.
The other thing w/ repop emblems is that almost all of them are "flat". I know my fender scripts are thicker on the bottom and thinner on the top. Same with the small FGF birds for the fenders. When you see them on the car they OEM ones look so much nicer...
