Does anyone know if the intakes for 1969 firebird V8's were all the same for the 2bbl 350 - 4bbl 350 H.O. and 4bbl 400 - I'm upgrading my stock 69 2bbl 350 with a set of # 16 heads, carb, and cam. I was going to do the intake as well but I’ve been told that Pontiac used the same intakes on 350’s & 400’s V8's in 1969 except for Ram Air T/A so there really is no need to upgrade the intake on my particular project, is this information correct??
Not quite. A 2 bbl intake is obviously different than a 4 bbl intake. But casting 9794234 was the common 1969 4 bbl intake casting for all but Ram Air IV and V.

Vikki 1969 Goldenrod Yellow / black 400 convertible numbers matching
All Pontiac engines except the 301 are the same on the outside and have good interchangability. The main difference between a 350 and a 400 is the bore size. Smaller details determined compression ratio and rated output (cam specs, valve size, etc.).
