Folks, this should be a quick question. I have an repop hood tach and need to know if the "inner lip / lens" area is black or the car color. It seems that both external and inner areas would be car color, but I'm looking for confirmation either way. My car is a 68 Firebird 400 4spd in restoration. Thanks!

I am in the same spot and I am going with black in the inner area. Also black in the scoops inner areas.

Just the complete outer part is the car color. Unless, of course, you have a black car.

Pontiac did a semi flat black in that area so there would be no reflection from the sun when you drive the car and look at the tack...they were all black.
