Has anyone ever fitted reproduction door skins on original door frames? Is it a touchy feely process? Can anyone offer some advice? Thanks.

I've been thinking about buying new door skins and having them professionally installed. I'm not sure if its worth the hassel. I have considered buying the whole door shell. Any advice?

Gary is right, there are plenty of doors out there, I used a skin on one door, it is easy but you do need to know how to fiberglass or bondo, if you use fiberglass the skin looks great, bondo will crack after long use where it comes to the edge of the skin if hit and you have to redo the whole area, fiberglass will not.

Is it easy to line up the door skin to the front and rear fender seams? Is the door skin welded to the door frame? I'm not sure about this process. Thanks for the replies!!
