Anybody have a battery cable heat shield (tube) that works with the factory longbranch manifolds? (I am looking for the metal tube that bolts to the head and the cable passes through it...factory 400 convertible with longbranch manifolds.)
Thanks!

That factory tube was to protect the wires coming off the engine wire harness down to the starter...
...NOT battery cables.
There was no factory heat shield for the positive battery cable.

Phil, If your looking for orginal look. Use the heat shield tubes. Some guys use it to protect spark plug wires that are close to headers. That is what I used on my 68. Get them at most parts store. Steveo

Ditto. I put wire loam on mine (I believe that was original) to protect against abrasion as it routes in from the front and below the long branch. I found a clip by the engine mount that I assumed was for that cable.
Here are some shots of the starter heat shield tube. Wires come from the wiring harness above. 400 engine with long branch manifolds and stock starter.

That looks like the same as on mine too for the small wires. Do you have that clip by your engine mount as in my photo for the battery + cable to the starter?
I also used the woven cover on the wires where they exit the tube and run to the solenoid to help protect them from the heat off the long branch manifolds.
