Headrest Option
Short answer: Headrests (head restraints) were an option — here’s how they show up across the documentation (note the sources don’t fully agree on the code):
- Billing card/manifest: 1967 = code 572; 1968 = code 572; 1969 = nothing listed.
- Sales manual: 1968 head restraints = code 571, $52.66.
- Body tags: 1967 has trim codes (Z = buckets without headrests, Y = buckets with headrests, H = standard bench); 1968 and 1969 references have no headrest body-tag code.
