Also, we appreicate you posting your findings. I know I am close to purchasing a power window "kit" myself.
If you buy a kit, make sure you ask if the switches are metal or plastic. The kit from the Parts Place didn't come with the rubber boots either... total and complete absolute rip-off. This will take a month or so, but I need to tear into the car to see if I can use the existing tracks and if they can be mated to a newer Firebird power window regulator (new Bird parts are very cheap). Once I get it together I'll post it.
