I have a 67 with a 400 Chevy motor and turbo 350 auto transmission. The problem is someone cut the detent cable off about 4 inches above tranny when transplanting it. It hasn't been run yet and I switched motors but don't know much about detent cable hook ups. Can I fish the old one out of tranny? I have no bracket for cable on the intake, one available? Where on the carb does it hook up? (Holley carb) Also there is a sender screwed in just behind detent cable in tranny...what is it for? (back-up or nuetral start?) Thanks for all the help, as always!
