I concur, a PIA, but not bad if you take your time. I just replaced mine this past Saturday. I find that I had to drop the steering column. There are 2 bolts just under the dash that hold it up. Make sure you wrap and tape a hand towel around the column as you can scratch it up removing the dash carrier. For the speedo cable, there is a flange holding it on. You have to push the flange towards the gauges and then pull the cable off. Lastly, you'll need to undo the environmental control wires, cigarette lighter and when you pop the carrier, the wiring to the wiper motor. If you have a clock, that wiring might have to be removed as well.
