Are you sure that you have the correct shroud to start with? Just curious as I mentioned, I also have the Superior rad. in my car and I did not have to cut the shroud. I did however just remembered that I did have to trim some of the mounting flanges on both sides of the rad. It's been awhile and I am not sure why I had to do that, but I did remove some of the flange with a pair of snips.
