David, sometimes the credit card will show a temporary hold...byt only one charge goes thru.. I did that a year ago when attempting to pay a redlight camera ticket online, $75...
didnt take, didnt take, didnt take ,but the 4th did... next day I checked my CC online, 4 charges!
I called the place ,they said not to worry...but following day still 4 charges, I called again and asked why it was still 4 , not one...she couldnt explain it ,so I asked (tounge in cheek) if I had 3 "credits" and would have to run the red light 3 more times to get my moneys worth! lol
