I never owned a Ford. All GM except for my Nissan. My worst is between the '82 Nissan Sentra and an '87 Grand Am. The Nissan engine was reliable and great on gas. It just sucked in the winter. The windows wouldn't defrost, the door latches would jam, and occasionally the fuel line froze. The '87 Grand Am 2.5L started out fine, rode nice, and great gas mileage. Then it started seeping oil through the valve covers. I had that redone a couple of times. I can't remember what all went wrong with it but it seemed like it was one thing or another. Finally the cam went out on it. That was the end of it for me. In the end the price I paid for the car only ended up costing me $400. It got slight hail damage and insurance reimbursement pretty much paid for the car.
