I am going to be changing my clutch when i gather all the parts. Working on a 400 engine with a muncie m-21 tranny. Looking for pointers, I havent even gotten underneath it to check it all out but hope it is pretty simple. Will i drop the drive shaft and slide the tranny back? Or just remove the bell housing.

If the tranny needs to come out, does anyone know about the speedo drive gear on muncies? I need to work on that also. I have bought a new speedo cable, checked the speedo itself, changes the colored gear that the cable attaches to at the housing (natural colored in my case) and still no speedo, so I am thinking it is in the tranny gear drive...something easy to get to or PITA?
