Tranny needs to come all the way off/out. I rigged up a tranny jack so I just moved it back. Remove crossmember, driveshaft, shifter handle, might be able to leave the speedo cable but it comes off easy enough (just thread off the collar and pull it out), clutch linkage, and bell housing. Four 3/4" bolts attach the trans to the bell housing. Some of the bellhousing to motor bolts can be a bear. Plan on making a trip to the hardware store for wrenches unless you are well stocked.
