I can't take credit for being one of the "cool dudes" you mentioned but my advice stays the same; post that you need a drive shaft on the "parts wanted" and someone will get in touch with you about a used one that is right without mods. If I were you I would go to my favorite old junk yard and dig around in their drive shaft pile until I found the correct yoke and the correct length drive shaft. If you go this route and nobody else comes up with your measurement I will crawl under my car and measure mine up. Just give me a private yell(email).
