A traffic cop was running his radar one beautiful sunny day, when a old Firebird flew by...
The cop pulled out to chase the speeder down, but while he was admiring the beautiful car and the drivers obvious skills, he couldn't seem to catch up! When he finally caught up and pulled the fellow over, he walked up to the Bird and said to the driver, "I'm going to give you one chance. If you can possibly explain why you didn't pull over for me right away, I might just let you go! The driver didn't flinch, he simply said, "Sir, I'm recently single and was just out enjoying my new freedoms. You see my wife just ran off with a cop, and when I saw you in my rearview mirror, I feared you were the unlucky bastard who took her, and now wanted to give her back!!! Needless to say, the Bird roared away clean as the cop roared with laughter.... Just sayin'...
