one wire should have been going from the neg of coil to distributor. the other wire went from pos of coil to fuse block. this was the resistance wire. check it for voltage in run. if it shows less than 12v, it is still a resistance wire, and you need to change it to non resistance, or get 12v from somewhere else for your hei. if it shows 12v, follow it and make sure no one has added a ballast resistor. if there is one, remove it.
