There are many types of tools used for removing glass, I think with the old birds you can get by with a cold knife/piano wire. (this is described above) The windshield and backglass were put in with a butyl tape unless the glass has been removed before. Even so you can still use the tools above. This will get you by without spending alot of money on glass tools.
