I agree with 68pls400. It may cost you a bit more in cash and, of course, time, but I would opt to go get it yourself.

I did the same with a hood I purchased on Ebay that was "local pick-up only". Even with some much-appreciated assistance from a forum member to get it a bit closer to home for me, I still travelled 580 miles round trip this past weekend to avoid having a shipping company pack and ship it.
