I found this flat area and figured this should be the location, but couldn't see a stamp. It probably is there but light. Your pics helped a great deal, thank you. It looks like the VIN is stamped vertically, right?

I'm pretty sure I got my smoke problem fixed, I'll know for sure when I take it for a spin tonight.
